The Wanderer

Economic migrant… climate refugee… cultural exile… political orphan…

Many would otherwise say I’m a Maltese “expat” living in Belgium… an EU citizen enjoying my freedom of movement in Europe. I’m married to Sue and we have two children – a daughter and a son. I translate for a living, and used to run marathons before my body said, “Enough!”. Now I dream of defying the odds and running a 17th and final marathon. Failing (probably) that, I would be only too happy to keep running shorter distances. Whether I fail that too or not, I intend to continue to enjoy visiting beautiful places in and around Europe.

My impossible dream? A trip to the moon.

In the picture above I was enjoying an Orval beer at La Roche en Ardenne, in Belgium.
